There was A Nikon D1H and a Nikon D2H (and D1X and D2X), with the 'H' designating the 'high speed' camera and the 'X' the 'high resolution' version.
When the D3 was launched, it was called just the D3. The D3X came almost 18 months later (and then the D3 was refreshed with a D3S model), but there was never a D3H.
So will the 'H' designation return with the D4? Some people think so, especially if a D4X is announced at the same time.
