Is the E18 error is a common problem for all Canon digital cameras? If not, where cameras are not affected?
I am interested in buy PowerShot S3 IS and I'm worried because I'm having this error, as the PowerShot A80.
I just got an E18 error for the second time in a Canon S500. It is a common mistake and the only way to fix it is to send it to Canon for repair. Canon customer says "You can repair the unit of $ 160.00 or you can send a refurbished model for $ 190.00. "Beware of refurbished model is only guaranteed for 6 months and mine has just died in the 7 th month and Canon just load the patch for $ 160. I say try your luck at another brand.
